Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). reCAPTCHA is used to check whether the data entered on our website (such as on a contact form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google. The reCAPTCHA analyses take place completely in the background. Defiant WordFence

We use the application WordFence by Defiant, Inc., 800 5th Ave., Suite 4100, Seattle, WA 98104, USA. WordFence is a website security service that monitors web traffic in order to maximize security and block attempted malicious attacks. For that purpose, WordFence tracks and saves IP-addresses and user location. 2. Processing of personal data related to your business relationship with RHEONIK

Categories of personal data processed, purpose of the processing and legal basis
In the context of the business relationship with RHEONIK, RHEONIK may process the following categories of personal data of current and future contact persons at our customers, suppliers, vendors and partners (each a “Business Partner”):

  • Contact information, such as full name, work address, work telephone number, work mobile phone number, work fax number and work email address;
  • Payment data, such as data necessary for processing payments and fraud prevention, including credit/debit card numbers, security code numbers and other related billing information;
  • Further information necessarily processed in a project or contractual relationship with RHEONIK or voluntarily provided by the Business Partner, such as personal data relating to orders placed, payments made, requests, and project milestones;
  • Personal data collected from publicly available resources, integrity data bases and credit agencies; and
  • If legally required for Business Partner compliance screenings: date of birth, ID numbers, identity cards and information about relevant and significant litigation or other legal proceedings against Business Partners.

RHEONIK may process the personal data for the following purposes:

  • Communicating with Business Partners about products, services and projects of RHEONIK or Business Partners, e.g. by responding to inquiries or requests or providing you with technical information about purchased products;
  • Planning, performing and managing the (contractual) relationship with Business Partners; e.g. by performing transactions and orders of products or services, processing payments, performing accounting, auditing, billing and collection activities, arranging shipments and deliveries, facilitating repairs and providing support services;
  • Administrating and performing customer surveys, marketing campaigns, market analysis, sales meetings or other promotional activities or events;
  • Maintaining and protecting the security of our products, services and websites, preventing and detecting security threats, fraud or other criminal or malicious activities;
  • Ensuring compliance with legal obligations (such as record keeping obligations), export control and customs, Business Partner compliance screening obligations (to prevent white-collar or money laundering crimes), and RHEONIK policies or industry standards; and
  • Solving disputes, enforce our contractual agreements and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

3. Transfer and disclosure of personal data

RHEONIK may transfer your personal data to:

  • RHEONIK distribution partners, if this is necessary in connection with the offer and operation of the RHEONIK online offers or the initiation, execution or completion of the business relationship;
  • third parties which provide IT services to RHEONIK and which process such data only for the purpose of such services (e.g., hosting or IT maintenance and support services);
  • insofar as this is required under Art. 6 para. b DSGVO is required for the settlement of contractual relationships with you and
  • courts, arbitration bodies, law enforcement authorities, regulators or attorneys if necessary to comply with the law or for the establishment, exercise or defence of rights or legal claims.

We also use external service providers for the processing of our services, which we have carefully selected and commissioned in writing. 4. Retention Periods

The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the relevant statutory retention periods (i.e. from commercial law and tax law). After expiry of the respective deadline, the corresponding data will be routinely deleted. If data is required to fulfil the contract or to initiate an agreement or if we have a legitimate interest in the re-storage, the data will be deleted if you are no longer required for these purposes or if you make use of your right of revocation or objection.

The right to request information about your personal data processed by us pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR. In particular, you can provide information on the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been disclosed, the planned retention period, the right to rectification, deletion, limitation of processing or opposition, the existence of a The right to complain, the source of their data, if not collected from us, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and, where appropriate, meaningful information about their details.

The right to complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of the federal state of our above named seat or, if applicable, your usual place of residence or work place
Right to revoke granted consent pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 DSGVO: You have the right to revoke consent once given in the processing of data at any time with effect for the future.
